Ingredients
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 Fahrenheit. This temperature will allow us to get a soft chewy center with a nice crisp edge.
- In a large bowl, mix together butter, vanilla, and sugar until you get a pebbly texture. You can choose to do this with a spatula but I typically use a stand mixer with the paddle attachment.
- Add in the baking powder and soda, flour, salt, eggs, and chocolate chips. Using your hands or a spatula, mix together until you have a ball of dough with no visible clumps of flour.
- Form 12 equal sized balls of dough. To form smooth balls of dough you can roll small chunks of dough in the palm of your hands.
- Place the 12 balls of dough on a baking sheet then bake at 400 Fahrenheit for 12-15 minutes. Make sure to bake one pan at a time to ensure best results. You may notice some moisture in the center of the cookies, but this is completely okay and expected!
- Let cool on the tray for at least 5 minutes before removing and placing on a serving tray or wire rack.
