Boxed brownies are a staple of every household kitchen, providing warm chocolatey goodness in just a few simple steps. It’s hard to beat the classic, but brownies don’t have to be complicated to be better. Using a pot, a spatula, and a bowl you can get the best brownies you’ve ever had without much of a fuss. You can also double this recipe if you want to make enough to impress your friends or bribe a teacher for that A you need.
Ingredients
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and generously butter a muffin tin.
- Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring frequently to prevent burning until a smooth chocolate sauce forms. Remove from heat then add in the flour and salt and stir until fully incorporated. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat together eggs and sugar until fully combined. Be careful not to incorporate air into this as it will make the brownies more cakey than fudgy.
- Pour the cooled chocolate-flour sauce into the sugar mixture then mix till fully incorporated and smooth.
- Pour into muffin tins then cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes. The texture will depend largely on how long you leave it in, 20 minutes will produce a fudgier if not slightly underdone brownie while 25 minutes will produce a cakier brownie. Typically a toothpick should come out with dull crumbs.
- Let cool in the muffin pan for 15 minutes before removing. Optionally serve with whipped cream or ice cream and enjoy.
